Massage Therapy involves the assessment and treatment of the soft tissues of the body. Therapeutic massage is used to prevent dysfunction, relieve pain, restore or augment function and promote health. Used alone or in conjunction with other medical/therapeutic treatments, massage therapy can be effective in the treatment of soft tissue injuries and dysfunctions, chronic and other stressful illnesses.

Detailed medical history combined with a musculoskeletal assessment, objective tests and patient self report, form the basis of our massage assessments. A comprehensive treatment plan is developed to treat each patient’s soft tissue impairments.

Kinesiology specializes in the implementation of individualized exercise programs within a rehabilitation environment. Following a thorough assessment by a Physiotherapist, the Kinesiologist assists patients on a one-on-one basis, fine-tuning their exercise program to restore maximum function. Further assistance may be provided in community gyms and/or worksites.
